Terms & Conditions Of Equipment Hire and Work Carried Out.

1. Quotations are based on the assumption that the site is served by a firm access road with adequate hard standing, and that the site is of firm nature, and is level, free from flooding, trees, ground and overhead obstructions which might suffer damage occasioned by the transport, erection, use or dismantling of the equipment, or entail any extra labour. In the event of any damage being caused by the equipment or services aforesaid the Hirer shall indemnify the Company in respect of any loss occasioned.

2. Should insurance not be taken out through Border Marquees the hirer shall be deemed as the bailee of the equipment upon completion of erection until complete removal from the site by the company, and will assume full responsibility for all damage caused to such equipment during this period. The company is fully covered by public liability insurance, but the hirer shall indemnify the company against all claims for injury to persons or animals arising from the hire of the equipment. The hirer may pay an additional premium for insurance against malicious, theft or accidental damage to equipment. This costs 5% of the cost of hiring the equipment. Any claim will be made at the sole discretion of the company. The hier is liable for a £300.00 excess on any policy should any claim be made.

3. The hire charges do not include the planning or setting up of the table or chair layout, or the making good or repair to the site of fixtures, installtions, access etc. caused by the company during the erection or dismantling operation.

4. It must be understood by the hirer that a marquee is only intended as a temporary structure and to this extent will not safeguard fully agaist all weather conditions. Therefore our company accepts no claims liable to arise from this clause.

5. The company reserves the right to supply and erect marquees to a size or specification reasonly near to that ordered.

6. The company accepts no liabilty for delay to, or non-completion of the contract due to state of the wind or weather, trade disputes, fire, war, accidents, damage by a previous hirer, acts of god, failure or the restricition of fuel, transport, or any cause beyond the reasonable bounds of the company.

7. The hirer may terminate this contract in writing, but the following charges will be applicable at the discretion of the company: less than 14 days written notice - 75% of the hire fee, 15-28 days written notice - 50% of the hire fee, 29 or more days written notice - 25% of the hire fee.

8. A minimum deposit of £50.00 or 15% of the total hire fee (whichever id the great) along with a signed contact is necessary before a booking will be accepted by the company. The balance in full must be settled in full 10 days prior to the start of the event for which the marquee is to be used.

9. On delivery on site of the company's equipment a person representing the hirer must be on site to direct the sitting of the equipment, or a clear plan must be in the possession of the company at least one week prior to the date of delivery.
